The AAU teams at his age level play with a smaller ball, and he has grown up playing with the regular sized ball. We didn't think it would be worth confusing his skill level to go back down to a different ball and then back up in a few years.<br /> <br /> He practices with high school players everyday so he does have a grasp for the game-level beyond just skills, but it will be a good for him getting into actual game situations.
